MR examinations are performed in a lying position. The examination of the given region takes approximately 20-30 minutes, but there are also longer 45-minute examinations that require complete immobility.
During MR examinations, we place various coils around the region of interest. You will need to position yourself according to the instructions of the radiographers conducting the examination.
MR examinations are accompanied by loud noises and clicking sounds. These noises can be reduced by using ear protection, so you don't need to worry about hearing damage. The examination area may experience a slight warming due to the magnetic field.
If you need a contrast-enhanced examination, a vein access is required for the injection. A venous catheter will be placed in the area of your arm or hand, through which the contrast agent will be administered during the examination. Contrast-enhanced examinations can be performed with a kidney function test result not older than 3 months.
Please note that our examination prices differ depending on whether they are performed without contrast agent (native) or with the administration of contrast agent (native plus intravenous contrast). The necessity of contrast agent administration is strictly a medical decision during the examination. Your consent is required for contrast agent administration.
The examination results will be sent to the patient's home address and can also be found on the EESZT platform.
The examination fee can only be paid by bank transfer or bank card payment.
